Accessibility: a Work in Progress

This site and all of Eliza’s online efforts include some degree of intentional accessibility. Her pragmatic approach is the same as what she suggests to her clients: as you go, “bake in” what you can, continue learning, and keep your eye on the balance between your profit margins and your investment. Oh, and always remember, web accessibility should address more than just people with vision impairments. People who are Deaf, have cognitive disabilities or are learning English will struggle if your accessibility efforts only involve testing for screen reader functionality. You also want to put captions on videos, provide transcripts, using plain language, and implement clear and succinct layouts. Hey, all these efforts sound like they might benefit everyone, not only people with disabilities!
